Why R² exists

Robyn founded R² Consulting Partners after repeatedly hearing the same challenge from founders and mission-driven leaders: their organizations had reached a point where the financial and operating decisions were becoming more consequential, but they did not yet need, or could not yet support, another full-time executive.
R² was created to bring experienced leadership into those moments in a flexible, hands-on way, and to build capacity that stays with the organization long after the engagement ends.
Much of the work is bridging critical gaps: the seat that is suddenly empty, the process that has outgrown the spreadsheet, the decision no one on the team has faced before. R² steps into those gaps so organizations can keep moving and thrive.
That breadth, spanning a $100 billion institutional portfolio, a Chief Credit Officer’s seat, impact lending programs and interim CIO, CLO and COO roles, allows R² to see challenges from several angles and help clients move from strategy to execution. Every engagement is led directly by Robyn.

Robyn Rogin

Robyn Rogin is an investment executive, board leader and strategic advisor who has spent more than 25 years helping organizations deploy capital to create long-term value.
She spent two decades at Wells Fargo, ultimately leading the bank’s $100+ billion institutional credit investment portfolio after serving as its Chief Credit Officer, where she oversaw its growth from $20 billion to $100 billion. She led a 70-person investment organization, managed a $1.7 billion P&L and a $32 million operating budget, and served on the Wells Fargo Management Committee. She later advised Wells Fargo’s Chief Social Impact & Sustainability Officer on the Foundation’s philanthropic strategy.
That experience led Robyn from institutional finance into community investing and entrepreneurship. At Pacific Community Ventures, as Director of Lending and then Senior Director of Fund Innovation, she built impact loan funds and lending infrastructure expanding capital access for women and entrepreneurs of color. Through R², she has since served in interim CIO, Chief Lending Officer and COO roles; advised CEOs, investment committees and founders; strengthened investment and credit processes; and helped organizations build the financial and operating infrastructure required for their next stage.
Today, Robyn serves as a senior investment advisor to impact investment organizations, steps into interim executive roles, advises CEOs and founders, and helps investment and lending teams strengthen strategy, transactions, processes and portfolio decision-making.
Beyond the Firm
Robyn serves on the board of Financial Women of San Francisco, where she is a member of the Investment Committee, and on the Advisory Board of Hypatia Capital, adviser to the WCEO ETF (NYSE: WCEO). She mentors founders through Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship, advises founders in Northeastern University’s Social Innovation Accelerator and serves as an investment advisor to Astia, evaluating investments in women-led startups.
Her broader community engagement has included serving on the board of OneGoal California, as well as leadership roles with Beneficial State Foundation’s Equitable Bank Standards Council and the Bay Area Women’s Network of CDFIs, all connected by a commitment to expanding access to capital, supporting entrepreneurs and creating greater economic opportunity.
Outside the Office
Outside work, Robyn is happiest on a dance floor, or cheering on her kids, playing tennis, hiking with friends, traveling or getting completely lost in a great book.
